Supervised well behaved pets on leashes are permitted in some rooms, but let us know if you are planning on bringing your pet when you make your booking. We’re active participants in community life. Among other things, we’ve been involved in animal welfare on the islands for over 30 years. As volunteers for the Haida Gwaii SPCA, we designed and built a special area to foster kittens and cats. Guests are most welcome to visit in the cat area once introduced to our feline guests.  We’re also respectful of guests who may not be as enamored as we are, or who have allergies. If you have allergies to cats or dogs please let us know and we’ll make sure you’re in a pet free zone.

This is a smoke free accommodation. Guests may smoke on the deck.

Breakfast options

We are not a B&B. We don’t serve breakfast but there are several options available. All our accommodations have access to cooking facilities & kitchenware if you prefer to pick up a few things and eat in for breakfast. Or there are several restaurants near by open at times to fit most schedules if you’d like to eat out. We can give you directions once you arrive.

Bicycle offer

The highway runs along the ocean between Queen Charlotte and Tlell and is relatively flat. If you don’t have a vehicle, bicycling is a great way to spend the day visiting Skidegate and the Haida Heritage Centre or hopping on the ferry for a short hike to Lookout Point on the way to Sandspit, visiting nearby beaches or getting around town.

We have a couple of bikes available for the use of our guests only. Offered as a service, first come, first serve. $10.00 a day helps cover on-going maintenance. Bikes are not to be used on logging roads or on the beach.

Rate: $10 a day.

Greener choices.

As a business, we consume more than the average family, so we believe we have an even greater opportunity to make a difference. It’s not always easy. Some choices may mean a higher cost initially but in the long run there’s a payoff, whether it’s in actual dollars through savings or in a better quality of life down the road. Sharing what we’re doing gives us incentive to keep making changes and improving our choices one step at a time. We can also share what’s worked for us or products we’re impressed with. And we’d enjoy hearing your ideas. Read more >
